General comments
De metronidazol supps ’s avonds voor slapen gaan diep vaginaal inbrengen.
Clindamycine vaginaal (crème voor vaginaal gebruik (20 mg/g) ’s avonds voor slapen gaan 1 applicatorvulling (5 gram) diep vaginaal inbrengen.
Spoelen met b.v. melkzuur (Lactacyd®) is de meest effectieve maatregel. Omdat de infectie frequent recidiveert, zijn antibiotica over het algemeen minder zinvol.
Antibiotica zijn met name geïndiceerd bij veel en hinderlijke klachten.
Lokale behandeling met metronidazol of clindamycine kan het rubber van condooms aantasten. Gebruik wordt afgeraden tot 3 dagen na het staken van de behandeling
