General comments
NB na behandeling secundaire profylaxe!
Cytomegalovirus infecties worden alleen behandeld bij CMV-ziekte, d.w.z. een orgaanlokalisatie (retinitis, oesofagitis, colitis, pneumonitis, centraal zenuwstelsel lokalisatie). Indien ganciclovir resistentie wordt vermoed, kan in overleg foscarnet of cidofovir gegeven worden.
Foscarnet is niet op voorraad, gaarne overleg met ziekenhuisapotheek.
