General comments
Profylaxe éénmalig; peroperatief te herhalen wanneer ingreep > 4 uur duurt (c.q. langer dan 2 x de halfwaardetijd van het betreffende antibioticum) en/of bij > 1.5 L bloedverlies.
Overleg met de dienstdoende arts-microbioloog in het geval van Gustilo graad III open fracturen bij speciale contaminaties zoals (sloot)water, marine (denk aan toevoegen van ciprofloxacine profylaxe voor o.a. Aeromonas spp.), stal en/of mest (denk aan toevoegen van penicilline profylaxe voor o.a. Clostridium perfringens) gedurende de eerste 72 uur.
