General comments
De meeste bronchitiden hebben een virale oorzaak zodat antimicrobiële therapie niet is aangewezen.
Bij verdenking op Mycoplasma of Chlamydia is doxycycline eerste keuze middel.
Antibiotica zijn geïndiceerd afhankelijk van de klinische verschijnselen en infectie parameters.
