Indien antibiotische behandeling geïndiceerd is: bij cholecystectomie of goede drainage: 48 uur behandelen, bij onvolledige drainage 10-14 dg.

Opties voor orale uitbehandeling in geval onvolledige drainage: ciprofloxacine 500mg dd + clindamycine 600mg 3 dd of amoxicilline-clavulaanzuur 500/125  3 dd + ciprofloxacine 500mg 2 dd.

Bij allergie voor cefalosporines: ciprofloxacine 500mg 2dd  + clindamycine 600mg 3dd, kan oraal en intraveneus gegeven worden

Voor dekking ESBL bij dragerschap ESBL (kolonisatie/infectie ESBL < 1 jaar) en bij verhoogd risico ESBL (recent  (<3 maanden) reis naar hoog-endemisch gebied (zie https://resistancemap.cddep.org/) en recente (< 2 maanden) ziekenhuisopname in buitenland). Zie Sepsis onbekend focus
