General comments
Patiënten met gonorroe dienen altijd te worden onderzocht op Chlamydia.
Zowel bij gonorroe als bij Chlamydia infectie moet syfilis serologie worden ingezet. Denk ook aan HIV en hepatitis B infectie.
Partner(s) meebehandelen. Cave herbesmetting!
Houdt bij aanhoudende urethritis of cervicitis klachten ook rekening met een Mycoplasma genitalium infectie.
Indien behandeling niet met ceftriaxon heeft plaats gevonden, altijd controle op effectiviteit van behandeling middels PCR.
