General comments
Infectie met acute diarree is zelflimiterend in immuuncompetente patiënten, maar door mogelijk langdurig aanhouden van de klachten is behandeling toch geïndiceerd.
Bij zeer ernstig gestoorde afweer cotrimoxazol gedurende 21-28 dagen
Immuungecompromitteerden secundaire profylaxe van cotrimoxazol po 960 mg 3x per week zolang het CD$ getal <200c ellen/uL is.
